Like many others, Disneyland is our happy place. So with such news circling around the newest Disney Movies to hit theatres this year, you can imagine the excitment in our home. Currently Frozen plays on repeat from 6:30am to 7:00pm, not to mention the “let it go” sing-alongs that come with that. Surprisingly, it’s not as magical as one Disney-Lover may think.
Without a doubt, 2019 and 2020 are shaping up to be quite the year for Disney as far as Movies go. For instance some incredible remakes of old classics such as Dumbo and Aladdin. Together with some brand new magical stories like Red Rose, Tink and Prince Charming. Undeniably you must all be delighted with the news?
Above all, I think the movie I’m most anticipating, would have to be Aladdin. As a child I loved this movie and have a soft spot for Robin Williams who played Genie. Although it’s going to be heartbreaking without him, I believe Will Smith will do a brilliant job. Nevertheless, one of my favorites is being remade and I can enjoy it all over again… in HD.
Obviously, the one movie Sofia and Stella are most keen in seeing would have to be Frozen 2. SHOCKER! But with things very “hush-hush” about a plot and character relationships, I too am interested to see how this one unfolds in particular. There are rumblings about really pushing the envelope unlike what Disney has even done; regardless of belief, I hope it’s well recieved. Surely, if anyone can do it, it’s going to be Disney.
It’s no surprise we’re counting down the days until each movie hit theatres. But as much as our intensions are good, it’s doubtful we will make it to see any of the movies in theatres. It can be quite difficult to enjoy a movie with kids at the movie theatre. So instead, we will impatiently wait for it to come out on DVD. On a postive note, at least I won’t miss half the movie in the washroom with a little one who swears she didn’t have to go pee.

Evidently if I had to choose, my top choices would have to be Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King, Jungle Cruise and Prince Charming. However! Tink and Peter Pan would be up there too. At any rate, I can’t wait for March to hit, and get things started.

This year sounds like it will be our favorite year of movies of all time! My 3 girls are most excited for Frozen 2 but I’m sure each movie will not disappoint!!! I can’t wait to see every single one!
I am glad that Disney continues to release quality family- friendly films on a regular basis. My kids love going to the movies but sometimes there can be months in between ones that are appropriate for them to watch.
Looking forward to many of the upcoming Disney movies
