Will we be trick-or-treating this year? Nope.
Am I worried that my kids are missing out? Nope.
You see, I have grand plans on fully embracing Halloween in a new way this year. There will still be costumes, we will still visit a pumpkin patch, carve pumpkin, go apple picking, make spooky slime and there will be treats.
OH. SO. MANY. TREATS.
You know what there will also be? FlyOver Canada and their Halloween Special; HowlOver Canada!
I know many parents are out there wanting to make the most of this unique Halloween like me. Start things off in the coming weeks with a trip to FlyOver Canada. You will NOT regret it! Let me tell you all about it without any spoilers!
First start off with the promo video put out by FlyOver Canada…
IS HOWLOVER CANADA SCARY?
This question got asked A LOT on Instagram. I get it, you want to make sure your kids will still sleep that night. Nobody wants a restful nights sleep more than this mama. My girls are both extremely sensitive to scary things (Sofia is 9 and Stella is 4) and they both said it wasn’t even scary. I did remind them prior to boarding that everything was pretend and to remember if they ever got too scared they could take control by simply closing their eyes. That seemed to do the trick.
HOW LONG IS HOWLOVER CANADA?
The ride itself is 8-minutes. Eight glorious, exhilarating, beautiful minutes of festive fun. Now, there is a preshow that lasts about 5-minutes, prior to boarding before you’re guided to your seats by staff. When I first saw that it was only 8-minutes, I wondered if it was enough. The show is so brilliantly planned the 8-minutes is perfect.
IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?
While there is not an age restriction at FlyOver Canada, there is a height requirement for safety purposes. All guests sit in their own seat and buckle up, so there is a minimum height. Everyone who rides must be at least 40″ tall.
WHAT COVID PRECAUTIONS ARE THEY TAKING?
I was so relieved to see that FlyOver Canada was taking COVID seriously. Masks were mandatory for all staff and guests. Everyone was required to social distance while there with markings all over clear to see. Each show runs at a capacity that allowed social distancing between guests and sanitizer was readily available everywhere. You can read more about their safety-promise here.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
Ticket prices vary depending on where you buy them. Buy them at the ticket booth upon arrival and pay $32 a person. Buy them online in advance and SAVE BIG. Pay between $23-$25 per person (with children’s tickets being $10 less) depending on the date and time when you pre-buy tickets. Buy tickets ON SALE here!
Overall do I think you all need to go and experience HowlOver Canada? The answer is YES! 100 times over… YES!
FlyOver Canada will be showing HowlOver Canada daily between October 1st to November 1st, 2020. Costumes are welcomed and even encouraged, so if you’re feeling festive, don’t forget to dress-up!
