I’ve been on this Scones kick over the past few weeks {see here}. I just find waking up to a Soft, Sweet and delectable Scone to be royal-like, it’s just too perfect for words. Ever since getting on a ‘health-kick’, I’ve searched high and low for the perfect morning scone that will leave me feeling guilt-less. This one…does it!
If you’re a chocolate fan like myself, start your morning off right. Make this Scone recipe and pour yourself a cup of Creamy Earl Grey. Their is nothing better, I can promise you! INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup Skim Milk | cold, low fat
1/4 cup Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 large Egg
1 cup White Flour
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Butter | cold
3/4 cup Chocolate Chips
1 large Egg White
1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
METHOD
Preheat oven to 375°.
Combine Milk, Sugar Vanilla and Egg in a bowl, stirring with a whisk.
Next, sift Flours, Baking Powder, Salt all into a large bowl, and cut in cold butter.

Fold in the Chocolate Chips, making sure not to over-mix. Adding the Milk mixture, stir just until moist.
Place dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead as little as possible, just until it forms a 9-inch circle.

Line a baking sheet with Parchment Paper and cut the scones into 12 equal wedges.
