GREAT CLIPS CHECK-IN AND CLIP NOTES IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
Great Clips Check-In was a game-changer for us this past weekend. Sammy needed a haircut BAD. In other words, he was 2 months. The parent struggle is real people. His regular place couldn’t see him, and his only other option was me cutting his hair with 2 mini assistants. As EPIC as those Instastories sounded, even I agreed that was a horrible idea.
We downloaded the app and took a look in our area. There was one in our area, not far from our house that had an 11-minute wait. It would take us about 8 minutes to get there. We checked in, walked in 10 minutes later and was seated in a chair in seconds. WHEN DOES THAT HAPPEN?
Not to mention, his stylist Sandra was incredible! With 20+ years in the industry, she assured Sammy that him and his hair were in good hands. Since it was our first time to a Great Clips she asked all sorts of questions. The more they chatted, the more confident Sammy was that he made the right decision not doing it ourselves.
Sandra agreed it can be very hard to sneak away as a parent for some selfcare. For instance, getting a haircut is not always a priority, she also knows this first hand. She told Sammy that in his Clip Notes she would point out the length he likes it cut, versus how many inches to cut off. This was because his visits may not be as regular. They may go from every 4 weeks to every 3 months, and that’s okay. Obviously, Sandra’s only concern was making sure he had the perfect cut each time.
FOR THOSE IN ALBERTA// Use that Great Clips Check-In app and head down to your local salon for a back-to-school haircut and help kids affected by childhood cancer! Customers who donate $3 or more during the Back to School Buzz will receive a coupon for $5 off their next haircut. The fundraising campaign takes place at Great Clips salons in southern Alberta (Calgary, Lethbridge, Okotoks, Airdrie and Cochrane) from August 22 through September 30 during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Funds raised through the Back to School Buzz will go to Kids Cancer Care’s programs for children with cancer and their families.
THE FINAL VERDICT
Above all, Sammy couldn’t be happier haven given Great Clips a try when we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. It’s funny how things happen this way in life. Without a doubt Sandra has not seen the last of Sam and his overgrown dad hair. Sandra won him over, Great Clips Check-In won me, and the twirling chairs and lollipops won the girls. The whole family left happy.
