It’s not everyday your bestfriend gets married, and;
It’s not everyday you get asked to be her Maid-of-Honor!
Party Planning sorta’ runs in my blood (interesting fact; I was a wedding planner for 8 years) but this doesn’t mean I wasn’t doubting my talents this time around, as this client was extra special to me. Not only my bestfriend but I was in her bridal party… I am her Maid-of-Honor!
Lindsay and I have known each other since Elementary School, grade 3 to be exact. She was the kid who snorted milk to make others smile, she has this contagious laugh that can turn anyone’s day around and a voice that could fill the room (literally). I knew she was my kinda’ person and we were bound to be friends for life.
My bestie is Christmas! No people, this is no grammatical error (save those rude comments to yourself) what I’m saying is if you look up the meaning of Christmas Spirit you’ll find Lindsay’s name somewhere there I’m sure of it. This person of mine has a wardrobe set aside for the month of December, consisting of holiday leggings and pajama bottoms to festive tee’s and ugly Christmas sweaters. No word of a lie she is CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!
…and this is why I chose to plan a Christmas Bachelorette Party!
We started off bright and early with High-Tea at Little White House & Co in Fort Langley (because every amazing day starts with tea and scones #amirite), making our way back to Lindsay’s house, we popped champagne and got down to business… GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION BABY! The sound of quick fingers at work while candy sprinkles and Christmas balls hit the floor at a constant pace, things were getting serious! After getting cleaned up from the sugary construction site we got dolled up in our Ugly Christmas Sweaters, mugshots taken and began the second leg of events. Headed off to Browns Socialhouse for dinner where she was surprised by 15 of her friends and then whisked away in a Party Bus which took us all to Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club where we laughed the night away with Greg Proops (Hello! Who’s Line Is It Anyways).
The day was festively perfect! It was a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE (right Lindsay?!)
