This past weekend the stars aligned. I had a chance to go Jeans shopping without any children.
Sammy was home, and both girls were under the weather and completely content with snuggling up to an afternoon of Netflix. After the horrible event earlier that week, putting 2 of my favorite pairs of jeans to rest, I had nothing to wear. LITERALLY
I slipped into a pair of the best jeans ever (Rockstars, of course) and headed off to find… MORE BEST JEANS EVER!
One might think I would’ve headed straight to Old Navy, because we all know they’re the maker of about 90% of the Jeans I own. But not this time. SHOCKER! Okay wait, maybe I did, but the truth of the matter was they weren’t on sale and anyone that knows anything about Old Navy knows you never pay full-price for anything there. Things go on sale ALL. THE. TIME.
I went. They wanted full price. I cried on the inside a little. Then left.
Moping my way through the mall, I contemplated grabbing a smoothie and call it a day (I can be a bit dramatic, yes). I ended up at the front entrance to Hudson’s Bay. I had a moment, a flashback to that time I bought my Kate Spade clutch and said to myself “Why do I always forget about The Bay? The Bay should never be forgotten“. Do you guys shop at Hudson’s Bay? When was the last time you shopped there? YOU GUYS need to go!
I walked into a 70% off sale and that’s when it happened. My arms began filling up and my spirits were lifted. I mean I couldn’t have this many potentials and leave with nothing… right?
Off to the fitting rooms I went, looking a bit overly excited, the sale consultant seemed nervous to give me a room, clearly she had no idea how amazing this day was. Holding THIS MANY potential Jean options, THE SALE and NO KIDS. I mean what more could a girl want?
Tried the first pair, Levi’s; LOVED THEM, keeping them.
Tried the second pair, Guess; LOVED THEM, had to have them!
Tried the third pair, Guess again; LOVED THEM, holy crap when does this happen?
I thought about stopping there as I didn’t want to have to make the horrible heart-wrenching decision between that many pairs of Jeans. But I didn’t. I kept going. I tried on all 9 pairs. Final verdict…
LOVED – 3
LIKED – 4
COULDN’T FIT IN – 2
And that my friends is my beautiful love-story from this past weekend. It’s also very much my reminder to you all that Hudson’s Bay need not be looked over ever again. The next time you’re near, don’t walk past. Go in, you’ll be so happy you did.
