I knew if I didn’t do it before we left for Disneyland, it would likely get missed. We made our 2018 Fall Bucket List and yes it’s fill of Pumpkin Spice and even a little Candy Corn. Did you expect anything less?
In the past we’ve made many family bucket lists. Things we would like to achieve as a family over the course of that season. Above all they’re so much fun, but just know, we’ve never actually completed one. Not in it’s entirelty at least. We’ve come close, and we’re okay with that. Our kids know these are just things we hope to do as a family. But with this intension, if we miss any, we can carry-over to the next year.
if a year was tucked inside of a clock, them autumn would be the magic hour.
This years Fall Bucket List consists of some traditional outtings like “visiting and pumpkin patch” and “carving pumpkins“. But WAIT! It gets interesting… and unexpected (for us both). At the same time it also has things like “make candy corn Slime” and “make a scary movie“. Nothing about our Fall Bucket List says cookie cutter, other than maybe the adorable printable I got from At Home With Ashley. But this year we go BIG! In short, let’s hope we get at least half way through.
Our 2018 Fall Bucket List:
- Visit a Pumpkin Patch
- Go apple picking (Taves Family Farms, here we come)
- Go on a hay ride
- Carve a Pumpkin
- Go Trick-or-Treating
- Make a scary movie
- Drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte (and film the girls reactions)
- Make Crockpot Apple Cider (via this recipe from Our Happy Place)
- Go puddle jumping
- Roast Pumpkin Seeds
- Jump in a pile of leaves
- Make Candy Corn Slime
- Go to Disneyland
- Try making an Apple Pie
- Make Fall Playdough
- Make leaf crafts (like leaf people, this leaf bowl and these leaf suncatchers)
- Harry Potter Movie Night
- Pumpkin Spice upside down cake (wish me luck with this one!)
- Visit a Fall Fair
- SLEEP!
Basically we’ve got our work cut out for us this Fall. With 20 things on the list, we better get a jump on it. Obviously there are a few easy ones, but also a few challenging ones. I mean have any of you tried to bake an apple pie with a 7 and 2 year old? OF COURSE NOT! That’s just crazy talk!
On the whole, I’m just happy to be putting a list together at all. These dreary months ahead can be long and trying at times. Vancouver is very well known as Raincouver. Stuck inside with 2 active kids is exactly as fun as you may suspect. For this reason our Fall Bucket List is bound make it less… trying.
Want to see how this whole thing came together, and subsequently who added SLEEP? In brief, you’ll want to check out Friday’s vlog. And most important, if this inspires you to make your own Fall Bucket List… job complete! In fact, tell us, we would love to hear what you plan on getting up to this Fall.

I’d love to do ALL of these things too however it just does NOT feel like fall here at all, so I can’t do it quite yet. Maybe in November!

Being someone from a tropical country, Fall season is something that I’m not exactly familiar with… But I’m intrigued with the idea of candy corn as we don’t have any around here. Any chance you’ll share the DIY step-by-step of this candy corn slime? 😀

You kidding! OF COURSE I WILL…. and I feel terribly that I tempted you with candy corn and it’s not easily accessible for you. 🙁 If it makes you feel any better it really is not THAT good. xxoo
